New industrial land available in Canada's manufacturing corridor

Five new developments will bring 900 acres of serviced, multimodal industrial land online in the heart of Canada's manufacturing corridor.

Prime industrial land in the middle of Canada’s largest robotics and automation cluster is becoming available – and quickly getting claimed.

Intermarket Properties, a real estate management and development company, has announced that the road and servicing work at the IP Park in Cambridge, Ontario, is complete and that some property transactions are already final.

On June 9, Intermarket announced that three of their sites were already acquired, while work on a 85,000 square foot industrial building focused on Advanced Manufacturing and Robotics will begin soon. This development will include units in the 10,000 to 20,000 square foot range. The company is also in the process of building a 100,000 square foot data centre.

“We are seeing a lot of interest in IP Park because manufacturers want to bring their supply chain back to Canada,” said Mark Kindrachuk, President of Intermarket. “In addition, because of COVID-19, there is a tremendous increase in e-commerce, robotics and digital streaming; and this bodes well for our industrial and data centre buildings.”

IP Park is a master-planned industrial and commercial development that is strategically located next to Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada – the largest automotive manufacturer in Canada – and ATS Automation, which is a leading automation innovator that works with manufacturers across sectors.

This multimodal location is minutes from the 401 superhighway, which provides convenient access to Toronto and entry into the United States through Detroit and Buffalo, as well as passenger/cargo rail and two international airports. This location is also at the centre of Canada’s largest manufacturing and automotive corridors.
