From EVs to autonomous vehicles, Waterloo has more than 90 companies working in additive manufacturing, prototyping, open 3D mapping, analytics and more. Waterloo is one of seven regional sites for the Ontario Vehicle Innovation Network (OVIN), supporting the development of EV and autonomous vehicles with funding, mentorship, data science support and more. Oh, and we’re home to Toyota, Canada’s largest automotive manufacturer.

Located along Canada’s 401 Superhighway, the Ontario Automotive Corridor is one of the richest concentrations of auto-related resources in the world with 700+ automotive suppliers, 10 vehicle assembly lines, 5 powertrain assembly lines, 5 battery assembly lines and 8 OEM R&D centres.
